Digital Media Sustainability Grant

Libya's independent media and civil society organisations are navigating a fast-changing digital landscape with real potential to strengthen how they operate, reach audiences, and sustain their work for the long term. The Digital Media Sustainability Grant is here to help make that happen.

Turn your digital transformation ambitions into action.

Through this grant, three Libyan independent media outlets or CSOs working in the media sector will each receive EUR 10,000 to implement a targeted Digital Transformation Plan, whether that means adopting new technology, strengthening digital security, diversifying revenue, or improving audience engagement. Alongside the funding, each grantee will receive six months of dedicated mentorship and advisory support from RNTC and Annir, helping turn plans into lasting results.

This grant is one part of the wider Libyan Media Development Programme (LMDP), a joint initiative by RNTC and Annir working to strengthen Libya's media ecosystem funded by the European Union.

Who can apply?

Libyan independent media outlets and civil society organisations working in the media sector. No prior digital transformation assessment is required to apply but is recommended. Good command of the English language is a priority requirement since the application and mentorship process will be in English.

What you'll need

A clear digital transformation plan, no fixed template, just a solid, practical proposal covering your challenge, your approach, and how you'll measure success.

There will be an online workshop on how to create a digital transformation plan on Tuesday, August 25th at 14:00 EET (Libya time) in English. Interested parties may express their interest here.

Applications close 31 August 2026.
