Hennah Draaibaar is an experienced TV journalist, documentary maker, writer and trainer with a passion for engaging stories. She worked for years as a correspondent for the biggest broadcasting company in the Netherlands, NOS.
Tapping into her rich experience as a correspondent for radio, television and online media, as well as years spent training young journalists and professionals, Hennah provides exceptional insight the craft of telling stories that resonate. Hennah also directed documentaries such as ‘Marki’ and 'I Choose Me'.
Since August 2002 Hennah ihas been the director of the foundation The Back Lot, an organisation that mainly focuses on culture, development and education. As editor-in-chief she started the award-winning 10 Minutes Youth Journal in Suriname in 2004.
In 2015, she received the ‘Geuzenpenning’, a Dutch award given to persons or organisations fighting for democracy and against discrimination, for her work as a member of Free Press Unlimited.
