RNTC courses during COVID-19

As countries re-opened and offices and academic institutions in the Netherland resumed activities*, RNTC Media Training Centre (RNTC) has reviewed its policies and what is needed to adapt and welcome students for in-person courses again. RNTC has the facilities and capabilities to ensure a safe learning environment in accordance with the latest Covid-19 regulations from the Dutch government.
RNTC is monitoring the COVID-19 situation continuously. Due to the ever-changing conditions, there is a possibility that travel to The Netherlands will be restricted and an in-person course will need to be conducted online. RNW Media/RNTC will make a final decision well before the course start date.

*Our information is based on the guidelines issued by the government and the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), which is subject to change.

RNTC reserves the right to suspend, modify or cancel any of the measures described in the FAQ accordingly.

We provide high-quality online and e-learning experiences, with plenty of individual support from our expert trainers and interaction with both trainers and fellow course participants. This is not a boring lecture series, but rather an interactive learner-centred training that gets you to produce output along the way, individually, or in groups.

Our online courses are rated very positively, and we have high level learner satisfaction. Participants rate the online courses as a “highly useful” and “impactful” learning experience.

The online format requires full-time participation on training days (4-5 hours a day, 3 days a week) for the duration of the course. The course includes lectures, group and individual projects, self-study time and online coaching.

You will need a strong Internet connection in order to successfully participate in this course. If you have occasional connectivity issues, no worries! Sessions are recorded if you miss a session the recording can be made available to you. However, if you expect frequent connectivity issues, you may want to consider waiting until you can participate in a course in-person.

Yes. You must be online during the hours that will be detailed in the course overview you receive after registration. This will include about 4 hours of time on each course day where you must be online at the same time as class members and trainers so that you can participate in discussions and group work. Our sessions are interactive and dynamic. You will also receive individual assignments which you are not required to be online for.

Courses run 3 days a week, with 4 to 5 hours of scheduled course time each day. There may be an additional 3-6 hours each week where you will need to work on individual assignments, but this may vary by course. RNTC suggests that you do not work or schedule meetings on course days.
